DKG Beta Mu California
About Our Chapter
Our chapter was established in 1950 as part of the international DKG society. Our purposes, mission and values are listed on the last page of this website. In essence, DKG and Beta Mu work to advocate for excellence in education and to support our local teachers and schools. Members may attend regional conferences or state conventions which bring together members for renowned speakers, seminars and camaraderie.
Locally, our chapter provides several $500 grants to student teachers and a $200 citizenship scholarship to one graduating student at every high school in the Pomona, Claremont and Bonita school districts. Chapter members are eligible to apply for grants for further education (certifications, master's degree, Ph.D.), leadership seminars and classroom projects.
